Former Destiny’s child and current R&B “it” girl, Kelly Rowland, is having quite the year. Not only did her new album ‘Here I Am‘ debut at number 3 on the Billboard 200,  but her song ‘Motivation‘ also topped the ‘Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs’ chart for seven nonconsecutive weeks. Now, the singer is the face of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ new fragrance, Empress.

Last night in Los Angeles California at the Shrine Auditorium, the 2011 BET Awards were underway. Many of our favorite artists performed. The beautiful Mary J. Blige opened the show with an awesome performance and brought legendary singer Anita Baker on stage during with her.

According to sources, R&B/Pop singer Kelly Rowland’s estranged father wants to reconnect with his famous daughter. His name is Christopher Lovett age 65, hasn't seen Kelly since she was seven or eight years old. Lovett's talks about when he basically lost control because of an abusive temper and drinking problem.
