Tyler's newest grocery store has opened its doors, offering the area an all-new option for healthy shopping.

Natural Grocers, at 4820 S. Broadway Ave. in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond location, had its grand opening Tuesday (March 31).

The Tyler store is Texas' 14th Natural Grocers location, and is the first non-Brookshire's, Super 1 Foods or Walmart Supercenter to open in Tyler since Walmart opened its Neighborhood Market almost exactly a year ago. Brookshire's concept store, Fresh by Brookshire's, opened in 2011.

Natural Grocers started in 1955 and is now in 16 states. It sells only certified organic food and places a heavy emphasis on local products. Items from Texas-based companies are labeled with a Texas flag sticker on the shelves.

In addition to its regular grocery offerings, Natural Grocers also sells pre-made salads, sandwiches and more in its "Grab 'n Go" section. The store also features a community room for cooking demonstrations and more.

With Natural Grocers now open, will you shop there exclusively?
