The Legendary Big Man Is Bringing His Big Chicken Concept To Several Cities Along The I-20 Corridor From Tyler, TX To Monroe, Louisiana!

Over the last few years, we've seen NBA Hall Of Famer Shaquille O'Neal expand his business portfolio to include his rapidly growing fast food chain "Big Chicken" which has already opened up a few locations in Texas with more to come.

And soon you'll be able to take a 'BIG' bite out of their menu soon as the company announced plans to expand through East Texas and Northern Louisiana.

Founded in 2018, Big Chicken fuses O’Neal’s home-cooked childhood favorites with today’s trending flavors.

The company boasts that from crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders to Cheez-It crusted mac n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes, each menu item tells a story all while offering guests an inside look into the life and personality of Shaquille O’Neal.

According to "Fast Casual" Big Chicken has signed a six-unit agreement with restaurant operator, Jason Ratlif, to open stores from Tyler and Upper East Texas to Monroe, Louisiana. Ratlif says that he first tried "Big Chicken" while on a Carnival Cruise and fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to our area.

The agreement in Louisiana and Texas will add to the 350-plus locations in development nationwide.

Big Chicken currently has traditional locations open in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Washington with 2 locations already open in the Houston area and one inside the Moody Center in Austin with HUNDREDS of Texas locations in the plans.

Ratlif went on to add his companies first step is to secure premium real estate in Eastern Monroe, Louisiana. While we don't know where exactly the Big Chicken location will be in Tyler, according to Big Chicken CEO Josh Halpern "The region is on the brink of BIG things and we can't wait to be a part of them."
