Normally, I do not watch ESPN's pre-game program before NFL football. Not a fan of it.

But when I heard they were going to be featuring Patrick Mahomes, and mentioned Whitehouse in the promos, I had to watch. It was not a disappointment.

The ESPN crew was in Whitehouse, talked with Coach Cook in the Whitehouse locker room and featured Whitehouse teammates Ryan Cheatham, Jaylon Dews and Coleman Patterson. Even got a touchdown call from Bryan Houston.

Great piece.

Mahomes continued his record breaking season by beating the San Francisco 49's Sunday 38-27. He threw three touchdown passes, giving him 13 for the year, setting the record for the most touchdowns to start a season in NFL history. And he hasn't thrown an interception, yet.

His Kansas City teammates and head coach are constantly beaming about him, too.

Keep it up Pat. East Texas is rooting for you, dude.
