Taco lovers across Tyler are gearing up for the addition of two new restaurants that promise to satisfy all tortilla-based cravings.

Rusty Taco and Fuzzy’s Tacos, two growing franchises with multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, are set to open in May.

The restaurants will be located less than two miles apart:

Fuzzy’s Tacos will be at 1871 Troup Highway in Tyler, next to Bodacious Bar-B-Que and Smoothie King.

Rusty Taco will be at 1714 S. Beckham Ave. in Tyler, next to TCBY and Jersey Mike’s Subs.

Both restaurants naturally feature a variety of breakfast and traditional tacos.

Fuzzy’s Baja Tacos offer customers the choice of fish, shrimp, garlic shredded beef, special ground beef, grilled chicken, shredded pork or grilled veggies. Tacos can be ordered soft or crispy and regular or habanero.

Other Fuzzy’s menu items include jumbo burritos, Mexican dinners, salads, sandwiches and appetizers.

Rusty Taco serves picadillo, roasted pork, beef fajita, chicken fajita, brisket, fish, shrimp, fried chicken, and vegetable tacos with plenty of complementary flavors and seasonings.

Rusty Taco’s BBQ brisket taco includes a house-made barbeque sauce with flavors of chipotle, cherry and Dr Pepper, and is garnished with lime slaw.

Both restaurants have received favorable ratings on social review sites such as Yelp and Urbanspoon.

With a dozens of items to choose from, one can only speculate what the most popular dishes will be.
