Tyler Perry Is Spreading Christmas Cheer At Walmart

The most wonderful time of the year is happening at Walmart and it’s all because of Tyler Perry.

According to TMZ, the filmmaker was spreading Christmas cheer at Walmart by writing two big checks to Atlanta-area Walmart’s on Thursday (December 6th), covering the costs of outstanding layaway items.

The total spend came to over $400K.

Customers can pick up their goods if they go to Walmart and only pay a penny, according to Perry who explained his gesture in a video shared on social media.

Perry is no stranger when it comes to his generosity.  Earlier this year he purchased the home of an old friend mom and recently gave Cosby Show alum Geoffrey Owens a job on his TV show The Haves and The Have Nots.
