The East Texas temperatures are quickly heating up and pretty soon we'll all be looking for an escape from the heat and humidity and a great place to cool down is at one of the Tyler Parks & Recreation's pools!

Tyler Parks & Recreation operates two pools:

  • Fun Forest Pool @ 900 N. Glenwood
  • Woldert Park Pool @701 W. 2nd

Fun Forest Pool is now open from 1p - 6p and open for lap swim Thursday from 6p - 8p. Both pools officially open Saturday, June 7th and each have separate operating hours. Operating hours for each are as follows:

  • Fun Forest Pool - Closed Sunday and Monday and open Tuesday - Thursday from 1p - 6p and Friday and Saturday from 1p -7p. Fun Forest offers lap swims on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6p - 8p
  • Woldert Pool - Open Monday thru Saturday from 1p -6p for open swim

The great thing about the Tyler city pools is that they are free! No admission charge! However, children 12 and under must have an adult present at all times and those that are 13-18, must have a signed emergency card on file to swim without adult supervision. These emergency cards are available on site and is valid all summer long!

So bring your friends, a lot of sunscreen, a towel and get ready to have some fun in the pool under the East Texas heat!
