Everybody knows a warm smile can brighten anyone’s day.  That why Tyler Junior College is giving back to the community with their third annual “Operation East Texas” which is a free dental, medical, and vision outreach program.

From the school’s website, this annual event which is in its third year is taking place on Monday July 30th – Thursday August 2nd from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday August 3rd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rogers Nursing and Health Sciences Center at the Main Campus of TJC located at 1200 E. Fifth Street.

Other partnering school with TJC are Texas A&M College of Dentistry, UT Health Science Center at Tyler, UT Tyler Nursing and Pharmacy, and The Tyler Lion’s Club.

Their services will offer the following limited dental services:

  • Basic Fillings and Extractions
  • Cleanings and Sealants
  • Medical and Vision Screenings

Patients must be screened, and the number of screenings is limited per day.  The treatment is prioritized by severity, and patients will be seen by an on-site medical provider prior to treatment.

Interested parties must provide a current list of medications, but ID isn’t required.
