It's getting close to the holidays and the Salvation Army needs your help to make sure families in need are taken care of this season! The Salvation Army is kicking off its Red Kettle and Angel Tree season. This year and 39 locations will have the famous red kettles on-site to collect donations. According to TylerPaper.com the Salvation Army has a goal of $400,000. Keeping up with technology and a cashless society, each kettle stand will have a QR Code and a NFC tag to allow for non-cash donations via Apple Pay and Google Pay. The Salvation Army has registered over 2,000 children and seniors to be gift recipients from the Angel Tree program. If you need more information, call Cindy Bell at 903-592-4361. You can become a volunteer bell-ringer this season by signing up at www.registertoring.com.

"The money raised during this campaign is so important to The Salvation Army and those monies stay here in Smith County and help us to run essential programs year-round. The need in our community is great, but I’m positive that the residents of Smith County will come together and make it happen!"
