Thanksgiving Films Dominate Box Office $$$ In December

This weekend's Top 5 movies were unaffected by competition from December's new releases. 
Disney's Moana continued to lead the pack, bringing in another $28-mil nationwide to hold the #1 spot for a 2nd straight weekend.  Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, #1 three weeks ago, maintained its #2 position from the Thanksgiving holiday period, thanks to another $18.5-mil in ticket sales coast to coast.  Arrival, in its 4th week of release & now part of the conversation for upcoming Oscar consideration, jumped back up from 5th to 3rd.  Allied was steady at #4 in its 2nd week out, while Dr. Strange fell from 3rd to 5th, impressive for its 5th week in theaters.  The only new film among this weekend's Top 10 was Incarnate, which finished at #9.  The new movie generating the most talk about Academy Award nominations, Jackie, came in a dismal 20th in its premier weekend.
