A grand jury here in Texas has indicted a police officer for the fatal shooting of a Black man. The grand jury has indicted Arlington police officer Bau Tran. He shot 24-year-old O'Shae Terry on September 1st during a traffic stop, according to EastTexasMatters.com. Terry was pulled over for a registration violation. Body cam footage shows Tran grabbing the window on the passenger, as Terry tries to roll it up. He then steps on he runner-board as the vehicle starts moving and shoots Terry. Tran was indicted on criminally negligent homicide, which is a felony, but only leads to a sentence of 180 days to two years.

Lee Merritt, Terry's family's attorney said

"We are certainly happy that there will be a chance for some form of justice in this case," Merritt told The Associated Press. "But if anyone else had done this it would have been murder."
