Some of the hottest days of the year so far are expected in East Texas the next three days.

KLTV Meteorologist Grant Dade expects 100- degree temperatures by Friday before a slight cooling over the weekend and a chance of rain by early next week.

Dade says temperatures could even climb above 100 degrees for the western counties in our listening and viewing area.

Two years ago at this time, temperatures in June hit 100 degrees for 15 days and tied a new all-time record for the month with 105 degrees.
