After Rodney King's horrific incident with Los Angeles Police Department officers in 1992, he was awarded a $3.8 million settlement. Twenty years later and just a few days after his death, Rodney King's family is reportedly seeking donations to help pay for the funeral expenses.

Rodney King was found dead by his fiance early this morning, according to multiple media reports. King was somewhat of the poster-child for race relations, and police profiling in the media when he became famous after video footage was made public from his run-in with the LAPD back in the 1991.

Rodney King was arrested Tuesday in southern California on suspicion of driving under the influence. Police pulled him over after after committing several traffic violations. He was then arrested and booked into jail for DUI, with bail set at $2,500. According to officials, no arraignment date has been set.
