For the second year in a row, the Oregon Ducks fell short to the Stanford Cardinals, and likely will be out of the BCS Championship race.

Behind 157 rushing yards by Tyler Gaffney and controlling the clock for 41 1/2 minutes, Stanford upset the third-ranked Ducks 26-20 on Thursday night.

Stanford simply kept the Ducks off the field, and Heisman Trophy hopeful Marcus Mariota did not have a stellar performance for Oregon, going 20-of-35 for 250 passing yards and may have lessened his chances of the trophy.

Florida State and Alabama looked to be locked in on the title game as of now, but as we know, anything can change in college football.
