The Smith County Sheriff's Office is now apologizing for using a SWAT team at an elderly couple's home. The team was used at a home in Henderson County to execute a search and arrest warrant for a bank robbery, according to TylerPaper.com. They claim investigators and the FBI had information that the robbery suspects were at the home. The robbery happened at the Winnsboro’s Winona-Owentown branch of First National Bank, on June 10. Both the woman and her husband came out of the house. The SWAT Team determined that they were not, in fact, involved. No suspect has been caught yet. If you have any information, contact the Smith County Sheriff’s Office at 903-566-6600.
