Tomorrow may turn out to be an active weather day as a strong storm system moves through our area. Meteorologists have talked about this system most of the week, and the National Weather Service's latest radar has moved the risk areas further west, covering most of the Piney Woods.

KLTV meteorologists have declared Friday as a First Alert Weather Day, as the storm could produce thunderstorms, damaging winds, hail and the possibility of isolated tornadoes, especially along and north of I-20 during the afternoon and evening. This is because the storm system is pushing a cold front through the area.

Rain will end Friday night into Saturday and the weekend looks to be sunny, breezy and warmer, until Sunday, when another cold front will drop temperatures as the work week begins.
