Romeo Crennel, who has had head coaching stints with the Cleveland Brown and the Kansas City Chiefs and was a stellar defensive coordinator with championship New England teams, is set to be the new defensive coordinator with the Houston Texans.

Crennel, who will be a coach at the East/West Shrine game, is new head coach Bill O'Brien's choice for the job. O'Brien also coached in New England but the two never worked together.

The announcement is set to be made soon.
