Studio maverick Rico Love has created head-nodding bangers for Kelly Rowland ('Motivation'), French Montana ('Drink Freely'), Usher ('There Goes My Baby') and even A$AP Ferg ('Murda Something'). Now, he's ready to go solo.

What people may not know is that Love was originally signed as a singer-rapper and was set to release his solo debut LP back in 2007, but things didn't pan out. But luck will have it, the New Orleans native started producing beats for Usher, Keri Hilson and Beyonce. The rest, they say, is hit-making history.

Now with a proven track record, the 30-year-old producer feels now is the right time to reveal his overall talent.

"It’s exactly who I am, it’s myself explaining who I am in my journey and how I got here and the different things I’ve seen and gone through in my journey," Love says in the video above about the project. “And it’s just great music on top of that.”

“It was just something that just happened," he continues. "I genuinely always said I’m not gonna do a record, but I just feel like the music was just making so much sense."

Rico Love recently unveiled a new website called Discrete Luxury. Is this the title of his new effort?

We'll just have to wait and see.

Turn the lights on!
