Rick Ross Shot at During Drive-By Shooting in Florida

Rick Ross is having a terrible birthday so far. According to news reports, the Miami rapper was driving in his Rolls Royce when unknown assailants shot at him several times early Sunday morning (Jan. 27).

Apparently, Rozay was celebrating his birthday -- which is today (Jan. 28) by the way -- until 5 a.m. ET at a Fort Lauderdale, Fla. club. As he left in his luxury vehicle, someone sprayed his car with bullets. Luckily, Ross and another passenger weren't injured but the Rolls Royce was severely damaged after it crashed into an apartment building.

According to Local10.com, an eyewitness said that Ross and a woman were the occupants in the vehicle. The source also said that the rap mogul was shaken up after the shooting. Other observers say they heard over 20 shots during the drive-by shooting.

Despite the eyewitnesses' accounts, authorities are not releasing the identity of the victims, who asked that their names be concealed for safety reasons. Police are still investigating the case and have no suspects in custody as of yet.

We are glad that Ross and his friend were unharmed in this unfortunate incident. We wish Ross a safe and blessed birthday today.
