It's been three years since we have lost Prince (April 21) in 2016, but the late icon memory is being kept alive by a new memoir due out later this year.

According to AP, The Beautiful Ones, an unfinished memoir about the life of Prince, is due out this October.

Random House released a statement on the release,

The Beautiful Ones’ is the deeply personal account of how Prince Rogers Nelson became the Prince we know: the real-time story of a kid absorbing the world around him and creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life, before the hits and the fame that would come to define him.

Before the icons untimely death in April 2016, he announced he was working on the memoir.

Literary Agent Esther Newberg said in addition to more than 50 handwritten pages, The Beautiful Ones will feature behind-the-scenes photos, scrapbooks, and handwritten lyric sheets provided by Princes' estate.

The book will also include the original treatment for this iconic song "Purple Rain" and New Yorker writer Dan Piepenbring will pen the introduction.

Look out for "The Beautiful Ones" to be released on October 29th.
