Reverend Clementa Pinckney will be laid to rest today, and President Obama will deliver the eulogy.

The Rev. Pinckney was shot and killed during a Bible study at his church last week, along with eight other people when 21 year-old Dylann Roof opened fire on them.

Rev. Pinckney was married with two children and was the youngest black in South Carolina to become elected to the state legislature as a Democrat at the age of 23.

President Obama, his wife Michelle and Vice President Joe Biden will join him for the funeral service today. All three knew the pastor personally.

Funeral services will take place at the historic and oldest African Methodist Episcopal Church, named Emanuel.
