Law officials in Polk County in East Texas have uncovered nine different fields of marijuana and one officer says the pot bust could be one of the largest in Texas history.

Chief Byron Lyons told KTRE in Lufkin the fields are located off of Ollie Loop in the Leggett area. Five of the fields are completely harvested and have yielded more than 17,000 plants. Officials now estimate there are more than 30,000 plants in the 675-acre property.

Lyons says the harvest is the result of a four-month investigation. The DEA is assisting Polk County Sheriff deputies in the investigation and the harvest. More than 100 officials from 12 different law enforcement agencies participated in the raid.

No arrests have been made yet, and the owner of the property has not been identified.
