Police Searching For Hit And Run Driver [VIDEO]

Last night shortly after 9pm a four year old child was struck and killed by a hit and run diver. The accident happened on Highway 49 and Younger Road south of Lakeport in the Easton community in southern Gregg County. More after the jump.

At 1:30am this morning authorities released the name of the four year old victim. His name was Cesar Cruz of Longview. He lives near the scene of the accident, but it is unclear at this time why the child was near the roadway.

Police are searching for a white male in his 30's wearing a blue uniform and brown baseball cap. He was driving a dark colored, possible silver Nissan pickup. There will be damage on the right (passenger) side of the vehicle. If you see this man or this truck you should call authorities immediately.
