They are the sugary coated marshmallows that appear every Easter on store shelves, I'm talking about Peeps! These litte ooey gooey bits of goodness that come in the shapes of chicks and bunnies and come in a variety of colors like pink, purple, green and white, to name a few, are the focal point of a new contest at the Tyler Public Library this spring. The library is conducting a diorama contest. Entrants must use Peeps as the focal point of the display and be based upon your favorite book as its theme. Entries for this unique contest are due Saturday, April 12th and they'll be on display during National Library Week (April 13th - 19th). Winners will be announced on the 22nd.

Reference Librarian Lori Fregoso says,

The Peeps dioramas combine a sense of spring with the joy of reading."

The public may vote for their favorite diorama in a variety of age groups by visiting the Tyler Public Library.
