Casting agents are looking for a young boy between the ages of 11 and 13 who is funny, imaginative and somewhat out of the box to star in a major motion picture alongside Josh Brolin.

The open casting call is happening Thursday, Oct. 8 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Marshall Public Library on S. Alamo Blvd. in Marshall.

The film currently doesn't have a title, but is being referred to as The Untitled Jody Hill Project and is co-written and directed by Jody Hill, who's also credited with Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals.

According to KTBS the film will be shot in Asheville, N.C., through December of this year. The casting agents are looking for young boys who are true 12 year olds. The role is perfect for all types of kids because they are looking for all looks and body types. Out of shape kids are a plus as is playing a guitar, but not necessary, and the casting agents are open to kids with no acting experience at all!

The boy casted for the role would play a "quirky kid who considers himself to be pretty cool, but there is definitely an awkward 12-year-old boy quality that is hard to miss. Forced to go on a trip with his father, Jaden would rather be anywhere but."

If you can't make the open casting call in person you may submit it online or through the casting agents email.
