Tyler Parks and Recreation Director Russ Jackson spoke on the new park,

We’ve got about 35-hundred square foot of new surface new skating and total new design and its a design that we reached out to the community and had a community build networking with our designer and got a lot of good feedback.

With skateboarding being an Olympic event the new park will usher in old skaters will introducing the sport to a new generation of skateboarders.

Donavan Herbert who is an avid skateboarder was excited about the idea of a new park,

Well this one is kind of old and retro so if we get a better new one will have two available so if you're an old skater you can come out and practice you come to this one and if you're one of the new ones go out there to have fun.

Look for the new park to in the near future!
