As the new coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Jason Kidd has a challenge. As a player for the New Jersey Nets, he was one of the greatest Nets ever.

The Nets retired Kidd's No. 5 in a pregame ceremony before Brooklyn's preseason game against Miami on Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Kidd played six seasons with the Nets, averaging 14 points and 9.1 assists per game.
