New Orleans rapper Mystikal turned himself in to police in Shreveport, La., on Monday (Aug. 21). The 46-year-old artist, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, was arrested and booked on first-degree rape at the Caddo Correctional Center in connection to a sexual assault that occurred in October 2016.

Before surrendering to police, Mystikal told KSLA News that he's turning himself in to "to get this business reconciled, get this behind me, man."

As we reported earlier, Mystikal and another man, Averweone Holman, are being accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Shreveport casino on Oct. 22. Investigators claim they found evidence that matches the rapper and Holman who was celebrating his birthday on that date. At the time, Mystikal was in Shreveport-Bossier City for the "Legends of Southern Hip-Hop" concert.

Shreveport police are still looking for Tenichia Wafford in connection with the case. The 22-year-old woman allegedly tried to convince the victim to drop the charges against Mystikal and Holman. Investigators say Wafford faces a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree rape. Her bond is set at $200,000.

Both Mystikal and Holman are in jail awaiting a hearing on $2 million bond each.
