Metal Beam Repaired After Falling Off Ferris Wheel In Texas

Talk about a close call!

A metal beam fell from a ferris wheel during the Magical Winter Lights Festival in La Marque, Texas.

According to KSAT, a video was taken of the incident as the beam was hanging from the side of the wheel before falling to the ground.

The ferris wheel was immediately shut down and no injuries was reported.

The spokesperson for the festival released a statement,

Thankfully we can tell you that no one was injured in this incident and the ride was immediately suspended after all passengers were safely removed from the ride. Carnival organizers discovered it was an aluminum support beam that broke, which is not vital to the structure of the ride and didn’t put any riders in danger.

The incident is currently being investigated.
