Make the Short Drive to Longview for Some Great Events this Weekend

Longview is the place to be this weekend. A variety of events will keep you entertained and it's just a short drive away.

1. Neal McCoy East Texas Angel Concert

Every year, Neal brings in many of his friends to entertain and raise money for his East Texas Angel Network, which provides assistance to children with serious illnesses. This year, Neal is bringing Jack Hanna with his many exotic animals. Live music from Country music group Restless Heart. Las Vegas regular Wayne Newton will also perform. It will be at the Belcher Center in Longview this Saturday (September 30).

2. Lonestar Speedway Sprint Car Car Bandits Series

If you are in the mood for some awesome dirt track racing, this is your event. This is always fun for the kids. It is this Saturday (September 30).

3. Downtown Live at 5

This is a great event in downtown Longview this Friday (September 29). Starting at 5, gather at Heritage Plaza for live music from Last 45 and enjoy beer, wine and pick up dinner from a variety of food trucks. Bring your chair and enjoy a free show.

4. Longview Ambucs Mobility Bash

This event is to raise money for Longview Ambucs. A $100 tickets gets you in play casino games, take part in an auction, dance and enjoy food and drink. Event is at Maude Cobb this Saturday (September 30).

5. Exit Strategy Escape Room

This is a lot of fun for you and your friends. Get locked in a room and find clues to get you out. We tried this a couple of months ago and it's a blast. They are open Friday's 7 PM to midnight, Saturday's 12 PM to 10 PM and Sunday's 2 PM to 7 PM. See video of our try to get out.
