Kids Can Receive FREE Lunch From Whitehouse REC

One thing I love about our East Texas communities is that in the time of crisis we come together and serve for a greater good.

According to KLTV, The Whitehouse REC will be providing meals for families in need during school closures.

Items in this lunch packages include

• Peanut Butter
• Crackers
• Fruit Cups and more

Whitehouse REC Organizer Maria Johnson gave more details on the program,

These are supplemental packs that can carry them through that the parents don’t have to cook they can have a peace of mind that the children can still eat something that’s sustainable.

The idea came from kids being out of school and grocery stores are flooded while parents are home working.

The program from Whitehouse REC will continue on March 24th and March 26th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
