Some people know Khalil as Justin Bieber’s best friend, but he’s actually a talented R&B singer. He is also an artist on the Def Jam label. But the 22-year-old is striking out on his own with his new album, Prove It All. The collection is available right now for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud.

The 13-song album is his re-introduction to fans as it contains no guest features. The music is slow-burning R&B over bass-heavy beats, acoustic guitars, melodic keyboards and otherworldly sounds.

Previously released songs “Pressure” and “Quality” are on here but there’s some other standouts. Among them is the dancehall-inflicted “Know Enough” where Khalil toasts a woman’s beauty. On “Distance,” the singer pines for the affections of a distance lover.

On the angsty ballad “Simple,” he yearns for finding his one true love. Khalil ends the album with “Realized” where he vows to not let the haters distract him from being successful in the music game.

Upon the release of Prove It All, Khalil has been tweeting out lyrics from songs on his album.

Overall, if you want to hear a fresh voice in the R&B genre, take a listen to Khalil's latest project above. You can cop the album entirely at iTunes.
