If getting a job in 2019 was on your vision board Walmart is the place for you as they are looking for truck drivers and it's worth a good penny!

According to WSBT, Walmart is in need of more truck drivers as they added 1,400 truckers last year as they face a shortage of drivers.

The store put out a statement their drivers’ pay will increase one cent per mile starting in February and will receive additional pay for every arrival.  Meaning, they would be earning at least .89 cents a mile which totals nearly $87,500 a year.

Walmart’s director of driver talent acquisition Lori Furnell talked about the hiring,

We're leaning heavily on the expertise of our Walmart road team and our certified driver trainers to grow our skilled fleet of professional drivers.

In order to be eligible, potential drivers will need to have 30 months of experience over the past three years and have a good safety record.
