No celebrity shade is kept secret for long. A previously unrevealed tape of Kanye West ranting about Taylor Swift and a slew of other topics from 2009 has surfaced.

Gawker found the tape, which has Ye going off on a number of things including the perils of celebrity life and why he snatched Taylor Swift's limelight at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The audio was apparently recorded secretly while the rapper was at dinner with friends after leaving the VMAs.

A female voice asks, "Why are you so angry? What's the anger?" and the 'Yeezus' creator exclaims, "Because my mother got arrested for the f---in' sit-ins. My mother died for this fame s---! I moved to f---in' Hollywood chasing this s---. My mother died because of this s---. F--- MTV."

About the whole Taylor incident, Ye goes on a longer rant. "Taylor Swift cannot win over Beyonce!" West shouts. "Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyonce. As long as I'm alive! And if I'm alive, kill me then! Kill me then! As long as I'm alive, you gon' have to deal with it. 'Cause there ain't gonna be no more motherf---ing Elvises with no James Browns."

The rant doesn't end there -- he even speaks on rewriting a verse after hearing Eminem's part on a song he was also featured on. Listen to the audio here.
