Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West like to get practical and creative with their gifts to each other, and Kim's birthday this year was no different.

On Monday (Oct. 21), Kim celebrated her 39th birthday. As a gift on behalf of not only himself but their four children North, Saint, Chicago and newborn Psalm, Yeezy donated $1 million to four of Kim's favorite charities that focus on prison reform. Of course, Kanye got Kim some designer bags as well, but it's the donation that really meant the most to the reality star/beauty mogul.

"I got amazing gifts from my whole family and Kanye for me the most amazing bags," Kim wrote on Twitter with a picture of the charities that Kanye donated to, Cut 50, Buried Alive Project, Equal Justice Initiative and Anti-Recidivism Coalition. "But he also donated $1 million to my favorite charities that work so hard on prison reform on my behalf from him and the kids. This makes my heart so happy!"

Prison reform is a topic Kim has been passionate about as of late, and she is currently studying to become a lawyer (which Kanye reportedly "can't wait" for, because he wants help getting out of his "fucked up" deals.) Kim has been working with other lawyers to help free inmates they feel have been wrongfully accused or given harsh sentences that they didn't deserve. As of May 2019, their team has helped 17 men and women walk free.
