Janet Jackson's call to the police this weekend was hardly out of left field — a new report says her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana has been acting aggressively since the two nailed down a custody arrangement for their one-year-old son.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Al Mana is "upset" with the way things have turned out when it comes to splitting time with their child Eissa. As it stands, the custody agreement says that a caregiver must be around at all times while Al Mana spends time with his son.

ET adds that Al Mana has been verbally aggressive to Jackson as a result of the proceedings. This is likely what prompted Jackson's call to authorities — she told police Saturday night (June 2) that Al Mana's behavior had "terrified" Eissa's nanny.

According to Randy Jackson, Janet's brother, the nanny "locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet" before Jackson's eventual call to police.

Jackson and Al Mana split in April 2017 after five years of marriage. According to TMZ, the American pop superstar and Qatari billionaire businessman "recently came to an agreement things weren't working and decided to go their separate ways."
