Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige Headline 2018 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans

Say it with me everybody... ROAD TRIP!  Essence Magazine announced yesterday (January 25th) their lineup for their annual Essence Music Festival. And it's not one we're going to want to miss.

Headlining the event is none other than Janet Jackson and Academy Award Nominee Mary J. Blige.  There will be other performances from Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Miguel, Xscape, Fantasia, Idris Elba for the ladies, Daniel Caesar, Kelly Price, Ro James, Marsha Ambrosius, MC Lyte and a host of others.

There will also be a "Legends of Hip-Hop Show" with Doug E. Fresh featuring Big Daddy Kane, and Kool Moe Dee.  Teddy Riley will be hosting a New Jack Swing Experience for my 90's folks that will feature Wreckx-N-Effect, BLACKstreet, and Guy.
