The city of Jacksonville has been declared 'Tomatoville,' so you know it's time for Tomato Fest!

"The most popular event of Tomato Fest is the fresh tomatoes! People will drive hours just to get Jacksonville tomatoes. The Tomato Eating Contest is a highlight, as we have our local celebrities fight to be the champion tomato eater."

If you don't want to wait till Saturday to celebrate the tomato, no worries! 'Tomatoville' has fun events all week long. Today and Wednesday, the 3rd Annual Dodgeball Challenge is going on at the John Alexander Gym.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is hosting a Gospel Concert featuring Cordsmith on Wednesday, and Thursday you can shop the Sadler's Farmer's Market beginning at 5 pm.

The Tomato Bowl will be home to the annual Tomato Fest Soccer Tournament Friday and Saturday, and a Tennis Tournament is set for Saturday at Jacksonville High School. Also on Saturday, you can check out the baseball and softball tournaments at the Athletic Complex.

Plus there are two new events in 2017! Buckner Park will host a Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, and at Nichols Green Park, you can run the Tomato 5K.
