Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt continues to show the world why he’s the real MVP!

While the state of Texas is healing after another senseless school shooting on Friday (May 18th) Texan star J.J. Watt is leading the charge to bring comfort to the families who lost loved ones.

Fox News reports, the Texans defensive end reportedly said he will pay for the funerals of those who were killed during the shooting at Santa Fe High School Friday morning.  Authorities said at least 10 individuals mostly students were killed and 10 more were wounded.

The gunman 17-year-old Dimitrious Pagourtzis pulled a fire alarm to bring staff and students out of their classrooms and opened fire.  He has been taken into custody and officers also found explosive devices left at the school per MSN news.

The Houston Texans organization released a statement:

On behalf of the Texans organization, we are saddened by the tragic events at Santa Fe High School this morning and extend our thoughts and heartfelt condolences to the victim, their families and all those affected,” the statement read. “We are grateful for the brave first responders, law enforcement officials and medical personnel. The Texans family will continue to pray for our neighbors.

The Texans star is know for his humanity as he raised $37 million to aid families who were affected by Hurricane Harvey last year.
