This is an amazing story that the mainstream media should be all over!  Meet 17-year-old Michael Brown who is a senior at Lamar High School in Houston.  Just like many High School seniors around this time Michael is planning prom, doing financial aid forms, and applying to colleges.

The Dallas News reports, Michael applied to a total of 20 colleges for the fall seeking admission and he will have a very hard decision to make because Michael was accepted into all 20 schools on a full scholarship and he has been awarded $260,000 in outside scholarships.

According to the New York Times, here are a few of the high-profile schools Michael received acceptance letters from:

  • Harvard
  • Yale
  • Princeton
  • The University of Pennsylvania
  • Northwestern
  • Stanford
  • Georgetown

Michael’s mother said that he has dreamed of going to Stanford and in December of 2017 he was surrounded by family and friends as he logged onto their admissions portal to get the good news.

I always knew Mike would get into a good school.  I always knew he'd get good scholarship support. But I never imagined this.

What stood out about Michael’s good fortune is he currently have a 4.68 GPA, and SAT score of 1540 out of 1600 and an ACT score of 34 out of 36.

Michael has yet to make a decision on which school he is going to attend in the fall, but I definitely think we should applaud this young man for being such an outstanding student.

Congrats Michael!  We are all proud of you here at Hot 107-3 Jamz.
