As a close friend of Beyonce, and the person who confirmed that Bey’s newborn was named Blue Ivy and not Ivy Blue, Gwyneth Paltrow might have been expected to offer the baby a special gift. The New York Daily News spilled the details on Gwyneth’s pricey purchase.

The paper says Paltrow gave Beyonce and husband Jay-Z a Bugaboo Chameleon stroller that retails for $979. The custom-designed Bugaboo has a stylish look with a reversible seat and off-white fabric matched with dark gray parts. Perhaps Paltrow was inspired by Destiny’s Child hit song while buying the Bugaboo stroller?

Paltrow’s practical gift is just another example of how little Blue Ivy is living large. The paper says she has her own 2,200 square-foot nursery in the couple’s NYC apartment, and that she hangs out in a $3,500 see-through Lucite Vetro crib. She also has constant supervision with a team of six nannies and a rocking horse that reportedly cost $600,000!

Blue Ivy received numerous gifts from fans and from her parents’ celebrity friends, including Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna and Mariah Carey. Beyonce and Jay-Z ultimately decided to donate most of the excess gifts to charity.
