It's safe to say that Gucci Mane has endured a rough couple of weeks. After going on a Twitter rant where he insulted his fellow rap peers, the So Icey rhymer has now apologized for his weird behavior.

The Atlanta native continued explaining that his addiction to codeine was the reason for his odd behavior.

"I've been drinking lean for 10 plus years & I must admit it has destroyed me," he wrote. "I wanna be the first rapper to admit I'm addicted to lean & that s--- ain't no joke. I can barely remember all the things I've done & said. However there's no excuse."

Gucci then apologized to Birdman, Rick Ross and Drake all of whom he cursed out during his Twitter rants.

"I wanna personally apologize to birdman ross & drake. Dem my n----s. I 100% regret my words & actions," he tweeted.

Now we have to admit that Gucci's recent tweets are not only surprising but coherent as well. The Brick Squad 1017 leader's timeline is usually indecipherable, but today he seems focused. This certainly left many fans wondering if a PR rep is writing his tweets for him.

"Gucci is not tweeting that…that is a publicist. The grammar is too good," commented one follower.

Whether Gucci wrote the tweets or not, it's good to see that he's getting help and, hopefully, is on the road to recovery.

At the close of these recent tweets, Gucci announced that he's working on new music.

"Wrote sum new hard s--- can’t wait to get out dis hell hole so y’all can hear dis s---," he tweeted.

Get well, Gucci Mane.
