Are you 'bout that life... that ink life? If so, the Ink Life Tour Tattoo and Music Festival is headed to Longview!

Whether you're an unhappy ink virgin or an ink veteran, set your calendars for Aug. 11-13 to attend Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview, where hundreds of tattoo artists gather for a three-day ink fest. Like most tattoo conventions, the weekend is filled with loud music, free spirits, freaked out garb and a whole lot of fun.

The weekend will consist of Captains Sideshow, human suspension and live music from Dan Sperry the Anti Conjurer on Aug. 11; Blackfoot and Quiet Riot on Aug. 12; and Scott Stapp of Creed, Sick Puppies, Drowning Pool, Trapt and Adelitas Way on Aug. 13.  Also on the last day of the tour, artists will compete in a tattoo gun showdown that you do not want to miss.

For an ink junkie such as myself, the convention is like ink paradise with so many amazing artists displaying their craft on human canvases.  I'm not big on piercings, and I typically cover my eyes during the human suspension portion of the evening, but I love meaningful body art, and I'm very particular about the art I wear.  Friday night of the convention, I will be adding a piece to my sleeve form one of my favorite artists straight out of Ricki Bailey Garage Art Studio.  Stay tuned.... and stay inked up, my friends.
