In a recent article in the NYPost, funk legend Sly Stone of Sly & The Family Stone is homeless, and residing in a van in Crenshaw (a rough neighborhood in Los Angeles, California). Apparently Sly only eats once a day and claims he likes living like this:

“I like my small camper,” he says Stone, now 68. “I just do not want to return to a fixed home. I cannot stand being in one place. I must keep moving.”

Um, okay...  Sly is best known of hits, “Dance to the Music,” “Everyday People,” “Family Affair,” and“Stand!”

Back in the day, Sly lived in a four-bedroom, 5,432-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion that once belonged to John Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas of course decorated with his favorite colors of red, black and white.
