Fourth of July may fall on a Wednesday this year, but that only allows us for even more time to celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s freedom with fireworks, events and family fun this year. Tyler Jaycees Firework Extravaganza

The Tyler Jaycees are proud to host the 49th annual 4th of July Firework Extravaganza at Lindsey Park starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday (July 4). The day promises to be a day to be enjoyed by the community, young and old, and will include concessions, entertainment, patriotic salute and fireworks. Admission is $10 a carload.

 

Family, Faith, and Freedom

Family, Faith, and Freedom will be celebrated at Living Alternatives Fatherheart location from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (July 4). The setting will be outdoor picnic style, so come ready with blankets, chairs, fishing poles, and swimsuits.

It is encouraged to bring your own food, or buy from Outback Steakhouse, which will be selling food that night. There will be wet and dry jumps, bungee jumps, set pool times, an amazing fireworks display and many other attractions. There is a $15 suggested donation, since admission is free.

 

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Firework Show

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have July 4th festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday (July 4). There will be free hot dogs, chips, watermelon, face painting, live music and more.

There will also be a special tribute to our armed forces, with their famous fireworks show beginning at dusk.

 

Mix 93.1 Dam Fireworks Show

With the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year, the Dam Fireworks Show at Lake Tyler will be held Saturday, June 30 with the fireworks being shot off after dark. Plan the family picnic now and bring them out to Concession Park at Lake Tyler and enjoy the show, because the fireworks are choreographed to music!

 

If you’re looking for a Fourth of July/fireworks celebration in Longview, make plans to attend the Freedom Celebration and Fireworks Festival on Wednesday at Maude Cobb Activity Center, 100 Grand Avenue. Fireworks begin after dark.
