A former All-Pro Linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams has died after the limousine he was driving was struck twice on Highway 198 near Mabank.

A DPS preliminary report stated that at 10 p.m. Dec. 6, Isaiah Robertson, Jr., 69, of Garland, was driving north on Highway 198 at an unsafe speed. He lost control around a curve and skidded partially into the road, facing west.

A vehicle headed north struck the limousine, pushing it into the southbound lanes where it was struck again by a second vehicle. Robertson was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

According to KLTV, Robertson had left a speaking engagement at Grand Prairie ISD around 9 p.m.

NFL.com stated Robertson was a four-time All-Pro selection and a six-time Pro Bowler. He was a linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams from 1971-78, then ended his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills.
