We all know him as "Smokin Joe". The former heavyweight champion Joe Frazier has passed away after his battle with liver cancer. His personal trainer / manager said on Saturday that doctors did not know how long Frazier had left to live. Leslie Wolff stated:

“We had medical experts looking into the all the options that are out there. We appreciate every prayer we got.”

Leslie Wolff, who has been managing Frazier for seven years expressed that the champ had been battling with the disease for several weeks after initial diagnosis which had him in and out of medical care since October.

Smokin Joe Frazier was the first person to defeat boxing great, Muhammad Ali in what was called the fight of the century in 1971 -- of course he eventually lost two additional fights with Ali.

His family is asking for prayers as they cope with their loss.
