There has been so much confusion surrounding this Fantasia show that was supposed to happen this summer.

Today an article was released in the Tyler Paper stating that Fantasia, Raheem DeVaughn and Chrisette Michelle would be performing at the Oil Palace tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 23).

I am sorry folks, but the show is not happening.

I spoke with Brian Dickers, Fantasia's manager, this morning and he said a cease-and-desist letter was sent to The Oil Palace to stop the promotion of this event because it was not going to happen. He also went on to say that Fantasia was currently on vacation in Mexico.

In the summer, you may recall me having one of the promoters in studio at the time the first show was canceled. He gave this story on air about why it had to be canceled (which made no sense to me), but assured me and our listeners that everything would be OK, which apparently, is NOT the case at all.

If you purchased tickets, you are urged to reach out to The Oil Palace for a refund.

This was the press release they came out with after the mess occurred:

For Immediate Release

(Tyler TX.) June 8, 2015 -Organizers of The Fantasia and Her Friends concert originally scheduled for Saturday, June 13 that Oil Palace, announced today the rescheduling of this performance for Saturday October 24, 2015.

Over the course of the Memorial Day Weekend the State of Texas was inundated with severe thunderstorms which resulted in record breaking flooding across the entire state. Thousands of residents were affected by floodwaters.

The impact of the flood disaster touched several Texas communities the artists were scheduled to perform. "In consideration of the residents who aided us as ticket takers, ushers, etc., the patrons who purchased tickets, aswell as those who planned to purchase tickets, we made a decision to reschedule the show. We would rather not compromise the integrity of the show or the integrity of the artists scheduled to perform.", said Nate Tarver of Unlimited Entertainment.

Unlimited Entertainment promises to provide a show that is bigger and better with the addition of a special guest to the lineup.
