One of Brooklyn's finest emcees, Fabolous offically released a new single today. The track, 'Ready' featuring Chris Brown, debuted during a Def Jam conference call.

On the effort, Fab has his mind on some after-hours happenings and is using his gift of gab to make it happen. The track is a borderline lullaby with Fab using some Auto-Tune here and there. On one line he demands, "Call you when I get there, you just get your s--- ready." Chris Brown rules the hook, singing, "She ready, I'm ready, I feel it coming on strong, so heavy.

'The S.O.U.L. Tape 2' creator says he wants to mark his official album return with 'Ready' and not a street record because it's something everyone will like.  "I thought it was a great record overall," he reveals. "You want to start off with a refreshing, great record that everyone can love."

During the conference call, he also spoke with journalist Elliott Wilson about his time away from the spotlight, his forthcoming 'Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power' LP and the state of New York hip-hop.

"I feel New York music, it's not at its strongest point but it also needs someone to be it's backbone," Fab explains. He mentions Jay-Z has had that role for years but now it's time for a change. "It's time for me to step in those shoes and rise to power."

'Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power' is set for a February release.
