After winning a World Series ring a little over a month ago, Jacoby Ellsbury is leaving the Boston Red Sox to go to the Big Apple and play for the division rival New York Yankees.

The Yankees, already with the highest payroll in baseball, added Ellsbury for seven years and $153 million.

Ellsbury is an instant offensive threat -- he posted 172 hits with 53 RBIs and 52 stolen bases in 2013. He has the much-needed speed New York will need to cover the center field position.
